Our curriculum is designed around the goal of promoting kindergarten readiness. Daily activities are developed around developmental domains established by the California Preschool Learning Foundation. We offer developmentally appropriate activities and instruction that is both purposeful and playful. Daily activities and lessons address one or more of the necessary developmental domains required for kindergarten readiness.

Kindness lives in every corner of the reef

At Kidz First Academy, we follow C.A.R.E.S. and S.W.I.M. - two value sets that remind us how to treat ourselves, others, and our world every day.

C.A.R.E.S. means we show:

  • Compassion 💙 caring for others with kindness.

  • Attitude 🌟 choosing joy and positivity.

  • Respect 🤝 honoring people and our environment.

  • Empathy 💛 understanding how others feel.

  • Service 🙌 helping and giving generously.

S.W.I.M. means we practice:

  • Safety 🐠 keeping our hands, hearts, and spaces safe.

  • Wonder 🌊 being curious and exploring God’s creation.

  • Integrity 🌟 doing the right thing, even when no one is looking.

  • Manners 💬 using kind words and thankful hearts.

Caralyn the Caring Clownfish reminds us that even the smallest actions can make a big splash! 🌊 Our C.A.R.E.S. and S.W.I.M. values create a positive school environment where students grow in kindness, community, and character. Children “caught” demonstrating these values are celebrated and encouraged, showing everyone what it means to live with compassion and care. Throughout the school, posters and visuals highlight these expectations so children know exactly what it looks like to be part of our caring community. This program is one of our best tools for inspiring preschoolers to grow into thoughtful, respectful, and joyful learners.
